TOYOTA has not stopped surprising us, coming up anew with another game-changer today, July 15, by launching its latest Lite Ace model at the iconic Ali Mall in Cubao, Quezon City.
Amazing is what the world’s No. 1 carmaker is doing again, the event instantly becoming as another show of force reminiscent of the company’s bold and daring vehicle launches—coming practically in wild succession—while the 2020-2021 pandemic was brutalizing the world.
I can’t help but lustily cheer at Toyota’s tireless efforts in keeping the industry alive and kicking amid the bright signs of recovery in the car scene, one of the most battered economic segments at the height of Covid-19.
Here’s a glass to Toyota’s courage and fortitude when things were on a terrible downswing and appeared headed to a horrible crash.
I raise another glass to the Lite Ace, an original Toyota mobility force that’s been around for as long as one can remember—for its reliability, durability and family-friendly stature.
Toyota has also revived its much-admired motorsports platform as its Gazoo Vios Cup roared off to a smashing return last weekend at the Clark International Speedway in Angeles City, Pampanga.
Now of its eighth year, the Vios Cup has consistently made its mark as the car race to watch since it had its bombastic baptism of fire in 2014, even holding one of its memorable editions in Cebu a couple of years later.
“The Vios Cup is one of Toyota’s cherished commitments to serve the public via the excitement of live races featuring our very own Filipino talents in the racing sector,” said Sherwin Chualim, the esteemed first vice president for marketing of Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP).
The Vios Cup was held in cooperation with Bridgestone and Petron, and supported by Brembo, Denso, OMP, Tuason Racing, AVT, 3M, ROTA, myTOYOTA Wallet and Kinto One.
