DAVAO CITY – A security task force (TF) in the autonomous region for Filipino Muslims in Mindanao vowed to clip the wings of lingering family or clan wars to eliminate the general climate of conflict and uncertainty among its residents, and to hopefully encourage more people to engage in more social and gainful livelihood activities.
DAVAO CITY—The Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim assured a visiting Korean peace group that the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Barmm) would support and adhere to interfaith dialog, including the recently offered Religious Peace Academy (RPA) for the region’s interested students and professionals.
IN response to the recent formalization of the Intergovernmental Energy Board (IEB), an economist-lawmaker said the House of Representatives will work with the national government and engage the Bangsamoro government on the region’s Tax Code. This is part of efforts to ensure that the tax regime for oil and gas exploration and extraction in the region are “clean, fair, and square.”
DAVAO CITY—The Bangsamoro Parliament said it would fast track passage of bills creating the municipalities that would place under them 63 scattered barangays in North Cotabato, which opted to be under the jurisdiction of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
DAVAO CITY—The Bangsamoro Ministry of Health (MOH) completed last week the distribution of 34 ambulances to the different health facilities in the region after some members of the Bangsamoro Parliament allocated a portion of their office budget to the procurement of the units.
