Suzuki rolls out the New Ertiga Hybrid

SUZUKI Philippines Inc. (SPH) finally rolled out its take on sustainable mobility in the country—the highly-anticipated New Ertiga Hybrid version. During the last 8th PIMS, SPH previewed the new version highlighting the manufacturer’s proprietary Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology. The latest “mild” hybrid version now comes standard and offers in GA M/T, GL AT, and GLX AT variants—the first and only in the seven-seater compact MPV class.

Hyundai IONIQ 5 is “Japan Import Car of the Year”

HYUNDAI Motor’s first dedicated battery electric vehicle (BEV) model has been accorded one of the most prestigious accolades in a car awards competition. Recently, the IONIQ 5 all-electric SUV topped other models, such as BMW iX, Land Rover Range Rover, and Renault Arkana, to win the 2022-2023 Import Car of the Year at Japan Car of the Year (JCOTY). While Hyundai’s all-electric SUV was also named one of the 10 Best Cars of the Year, this is the first time for a Korean automaker to win an award at the JCOTY.

Isuzu Philippines appoints new president

ISUZU Philippines Corp. (IPC) recently announced its change in leadership beginning in 2023, with the appointment of Tetsuya Fujita as its new president. Arriving in January 2023, Fujita is a Senior Executive of Isuzu Motors Limited Japan (IML) with more than three decades of experience under IML handling different overseas markets like the United States and Latin America.

WM Philippines brings in the Weltmeister W5 full-electric crossover

Shell introduces first EV charging station and carbon offset program

PILIPINAS Shell Petroleum Corp. recently introduced two sustainability initiatives for local motorists. First was the launch of the pioneer Nature-based Solutions (NBS) Carbon Offset Service for drivers, followed by Shell Recharge, the company’s first high-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging service in the country. The latter is also the first of its kind installed on Philippine expressways.

Ayala group inaugurates one-stop shop dealership

ONE of the Philippines’ largest multi-brand automotive and motorcycle groups, AC Motors recently inaugurated its multi-brand dealership AC Motors Centrale in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. The one-stop shop facility sits at the center of Metro Manila’s commercial district. Further, it manifests the Ayala group’s readiness to move Filipino motorists towards the future of mobility.

WITH 3.5 million units sold globally, the HR-V nameplate is no stranger in the subcompact crossover segment. Isuzu formally opens Roxas dealership

ISUZU Philippines Corp. (IPC) is keeping the ball rolling in its commitment to dealership network expansion. This time, the leading truck manufacturer in the country boosts its presence in the Visayas region. Soon to open in Roxas City is a new Isuzu dealership under the helm of Isuzu Cebu Inc. (ICI). IPC and ICI recently acted a formal signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement.

Maxus G50 proves it can do ‘Max more’
