Top Filipina cue artists Rubilen Amit and Chezka Centeno defeated Indonesia’s Angeline Ticoalu and Silviana Lu, 7-3, to secure silver and advance to the gold medal match of the 9-ball women’s doubles of the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Monday at the Manila Hotel Tent.
Rubilen and Amit cruised to a quick 4-0 lead after capitalizing on Indonesia’s bad shots.
Indonesia came back after Philippines committed errors of their own to gain two straight racks, 2-4.
After another rack was won by Amit and Centeno, 2-5.
Indonesia snags one to close the deficit, 3-5.
Amit and Centeno would secure the last racks to book a finals ticket against the winner of the Singapore and Indonesia match.
Gold medal match is on Tuesday 6 p.m.
