Angel Locsin is in the middle of yet another storm. While a lot of people lauded her impending return to La Luna Sangre, some Kathniels were willing to commit extrajudicial killings to prevent this from happening.
I’ve written about this before but Kathniels are one force to reckon with. They are collectively the fans of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, stars of La Luna Sangre. They’re so many that I once said they can stage a coup d’ etat.
Some of these Kathniels are up in arms about Angel returning to the teleserye, thinking that her presence will steal the thunder from their idols. In fact, some of their social-media posts are shocking, bordering on grave and malicious threats.
To one irate Kathniel fan, Angel calmly responded on Twitter: “Nung pilot super thank you ka sa akin for supporting [KathNiel], ba’t galit na galit ka ngayon? Lahat ba nang artistang makakasama nila iba-bash mo?”
Angel also clarified that she just joined the show as an actress and booting Kathryn and Daniel, or at least stealing the spotlight from them, is the last thing in her mind. She also said she was just invited by production to grace the show, although a little birdie told me Angel is very much a major character in the show (It was Angel who actually starred in both shows that preceded La Luna Sangre).
Anyway, Angel wants to move on and concentrate on her contribution to La Luna Sangre and her upcoming projects, one of which is a movie with Richard Gutierrez and Angelica Panganiban.
Good for you, Angel, that you weren’t miffed by this issue.
