THE blessings just keep on coming for actress-singer Julie Anne San Jose, who renewed her exclusive contract with GMA Network on March 12.
The event was attended by no less than GMA Networkchairman Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, president and chief executive officer Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., executive vice president and chief financial officer Felipe S. Yalong; senior vice president for programming, talent management, worldwide, and support group, and president of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes; senior vice president for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, and Sparkle GMA Artist Center vice president Joy Marcelo.
Also present were GMA Network senior vice president for Integrated News, Regional TV and Synergy Oliver B. Amoroso; vice president for business development department III Gigi Santiago-Lara, vice president for business development department II Janine Piad-Nacar, assistant vice president for business development department II Enri T. Calaycay, and assistant vice president for corporate communications Jojo Aquio.
Julie Anne expressed her gratitude for the trust and support that GMA Network has given her: “[I thank the network very much] for believing in me, my talents, and my capabilities. I also want to thank Sparkle, [and GMA Entertainment Group] for allowing me to grow and to all the people I’ve worked with [in GMA].”
“Kaya nga tinawag na Kapuso kasi dito, mapi-feel mo ’yung love ng mga tao na nakasuporta sa ‘yo, at tumutulong sa ‘yo na mag-improve sa craft mo. That’s why I’m forever proud to be a Kapuso,” said Julie Anne.
Meanwhile, Gozon acknowledged Julie Anne’s incredible talents as an artist: “Kaya tinawag na Limitless Star si Julie Anne, hindi lamang sa kanta, sa hosting, sa drama, in short walang limit ang kanyang kakayahan and I’m really proud na siya ay homegrown.”
Duavit, on the other hand, recalled Julie Anne’s remarkable journey with GMA: “Looking back 18 years, I immediately recall how [Julie Anne] evolved, how she’s changed and somehow blossomed. Her versatility is unique, and her achievements are very commendable and outstanding. At hindi ako nagkakamali, sigurado sa hinaharap, madadagdagan pa ’yan.” Rasonable added that the Entertainment Group is ready to provide Julie Anne the platform to continue showing her many talents: “Asahan mo na palaging makikipag-collaborate with different groups here in the network para lalong mapalago ang kanyang career. We love you, Julie Anne.”
Julie Anne has appeared in numerous GMA shows, such as the highly-rated historical-fantasy drama Maria Clara at Ibarra and GMA Public Affairs’ first-ever film offering The Cheating Game.
This April, catch her as Sparkle Goes to Canada together with some of Sparkle’s other top talents—Rayver Cruz, Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid, David Licauco and Barbie Forteza.
