Celebrity businessman, actor and philanthropist RS Francisco marked his recent birthday with another milestone in his already very colorful life by launching his RS Luxxe Wear fashion line.
Known for his midas touch, Francisco surely spent a lot of time studying both the products his brand will offer and the market before dipping his fingers into this new venture. “The long weeks of quarantine gave me a lot of time to think, ponder and explore. It helped me do a lot of soul-searching, too, evaluating what I can and cannot control, eliminating non-essentials, and think of what can still be done with whatever is available,” he explained.
The idea of coming up with his signature clothing brand started to grow in his very creative mind, and he thought that it should serve something higher than just being a commercial and business undertaking. “I thought this new endeavor should be relevant in these extraordinary times, so I decided that compassion should be integrated with fashion when we make the clothing line available to the general public,” he shared.
Part of every sale will be used to continue his pledge of touching the lives of as many people as possible who have been displaced by this pandemic. “Those who can give, give. Those who can help, help. Those who can share, share. During these times, a little help can mean so much. There are so many people in need and there are so many ways to help,” he added. As a man of many artistic skills, Francisco is one who likes to create. Ever since his student days at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, he was already involved in campaigns and activities of school-based organizations that nurtured his being a creative. The characters he gave life to in the school’s annual Live AIDS event were testaments of his many gifts as a future successful artist, all of which he was able to realize one after another.
Francisco also developed his business acumen quite early on, specially on how to market something successfully, until he had the resources to take on bigger adventures, eventually producing top productions like M. Butterfly. He is one half of the success story of Frontrow International, the leading multi-level marketing company in the country today. And now, he is channeling all his energies to the RS Luxxewear brand, his new “baby.”
“This is giving me a lot of joy and excitement, especially when I was informed that our online launch was very well-received. Since these months of lockdown prevent the majority of the population from going out, my team considered online as the next best way to market this new brand,” he shared.
For someone who loves fun and colors, the new clothing line would have a lot of color combinations. “We cater to different taste levels, that’s why there are a variety to choose from. Aside from our shirts, we also have masks that come in handy during these times. Our designs are dynamic and these will constantly evolve.”
Francisco also made an important realization from the recent launch of his clothing brand. “People patronize our items and order from us because they know that they, too, can help. I believe there is still so much goodness, compassion and concern in people.”
Francisco is more than his wonderful image, which is certainly his most powerful tool in reflecting his experiences, achievements and style, built through time and hard work. He is one who is not afraid to make choices that will make the change.
