MG (Morris Garages) brand in the Philippines will have a fresh start with The Covenant Car Company Inc. taking the helm as the new official distributor in the country. TCCCI, the same Filipino-owned group which distributes Chevrolet and Volvo vehicles, recently added the British marque in its lineup to offer more choices of top-quality vehicles combined with an attractive value proposition to car buyers.
“The Covenant Car Company is optimistic that Filipinos will positively respond to MG’s new global products. It is honored to be the official distributor of MG in the Philippines, and is very excited to provide the market with new options, with an aggressive model lineup and favorable offers, as it acknowledges the market’s discerning preferences,” said TCCCI President and Managing Director Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla. “I am sure future MG customers will appreciate the modern features and benefits of these cars, and many will be pleasantly surprised by the numerous perks these MG models have to offer.”
TCCCI is driven to establish MG brand’s and motivated to energize the automotive scene by introducing six all-new models by the end of 2019. Representing the renowned MG brand heritage, these models will be offered in a wide range of vehicle segments designed to meet every customer’s personal needs and preferences. Moreover, TCCCI is looking at establishing 16 independent dealerships with after-sales service nationwide. It has already been confirmed that nine upcoming dealers with vast experience in the automotive business will start operation by first semester of next year.
Current MG owners, meantime, will still have access to after-sales service through a string of independent MG Philippines-accredited service outlets while the dealer network is being established. Come 2019, there will be a “Mobile Garage” service caravan that will offer regular preventive maintenance servicing. Other upcoming innovative service platforms are the “1-Hour Max and Go” for that fast, one-hour basic maintenance service procedure available through 24/7 customer care hot line, “MG Hero Services” for 24/7 roadside assistance, and “Mobile Gadget,” which allows users to pair their MG to a proprietary smartphone app capable to closely monitor the car’s running stats for service appointments.
In order to strengthen MG Philippines’s introduction into the local market, a strategic marketing plan targeting key markets and demographics has been implemented. This year’s last quarter alone, MG Philippines has already commenced six pop-up concept road shows taking place in leading malls nationwide.
