All Value Holdings Corp., a privately held retail-investment arm of the Villar group, has opened its latest complex of stores in Global South in Las Piñas consisting of a home-builders center, a supermarket, a bakeshop and its signature coffee shop, all of which were brands created by the family.
All Value Chairman Manuel B. Villar said that the store openings is part of the group’s efforts to develop its various retail brands and also part of the strategy to enhance the value and appeal of their real-estate developments.
“As millennial families grow, they begin to look for bigger homes outside the hustle and bustle of central business districts,” said Villar, a former senator who returned to the family business.
Villar said that while these families are looking for cheaper but bigger homes outside of Metro Manila or in the provinces, they still require better-than-usual amenities and this is where the Villar group’s malls and retail businesses come in.
Taking up the biggest portion of the 20,000 square meter (sq m) Global South milestone stores is the 17th branch of AllHome, a big-box home center.
Best known as the one-stop shop for home building, renovating and furnishing needs, the brand continues to expand its product scope by offering more than just building and construction materials from local and international brands to the delight of its customers.
The biggest AllHome store has roughly 20,000 sq m. To date, AllHome has a total floor area of 150,000 sq m dedicated to retail.
The next biggest outlet is the 12th branch of All Day Supermarket, an upscale grocery store, for the said branch.
Also part of Global South is the 21st branch of the fast expanding Coffee Project, which is designed to be bigger and more quiet than the typical coffee shop.
Completing the mix is the seventh location of Bake my Day—a new concept bakery, which provides more than 50 variants of baked goods at every location at any given time.
