DE La Salle Lipa (DLSL) recently announced the appointment of Br. Edmundo “Dodo” L. Fernandez FSC as its sixth brother-president.
Fernandez’s journey as a dedicated educator with decades-worth of expertise in the field commenced at the DLSL in 1993 when he first served as a religion teacher. His superiors soon recognized his leadership potential and promoted him to administrative assistant for Upper Years.
He has since held major posts with the De La Salle Brothers. He was the first brother-visitor of the Lasallian East Asia District, an alliance of Lasallian schools in the region.
Currently he is the president of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) and La Salle Green Hills. He was likewise elected president of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities, or PAASCU.
Founded by the De La Salle Christian Brothers in 1962, DLSL is a private Catholic educational institution housed inside a 16-hectare campus in Batangas. Led by a community of educators and industry leaders, it offers basic, collegiate and postgraduate education.
The College of Business, Economics, Accountancy, and Management offers Accountancy, Accounting Information System, Legal Management and Entrepreneurship programs, as well as Business Administration with majors in Marketing Management and Financial Management.
The College of Education, Arts and Sciences includes bachelor degrees in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Psychology, Communication, Biology and Multimedia Arts.
The College of International Hospitality and Tourism Management presents bachelor degrees in Hospitality Management and Tourism Management, as well as a certificate degree in Culinary Arts.
The College of Information, Technology and Engineering comprises programs in Entertainment and Multimedia Computing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electros Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology and Information Systems.
The College of Law and College of Nursing likewise offers programs in the legal and medical fields.
Meanwhile, the Master in Business Administration program is available for industry experts who wish to pursue challenges of a socially empowered and complex market in a fast-moving, technology-based business environment.
