As part of BusinessMirror’s campaign to promote everyone’s safety and well-being during the global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have invited established and independent artists to perform at least one song in their own homes while urging everyone to stay indoors.
Souldrift started as an experimental band fusing metal, reggae with melodic elements. Composed of Rene Ballecer (vox), Jhed Ayque (guitar), Eric Bicera (bass) and Karl Ballecer (drums), the band covered popular rock tunes during its first five years until last year when they finally decided to create their own original material.
Since then, Souldrift has released six “chill, long driving” tunes now available for streaming on Spotify. Describing their music as Bounce Rock Alternative, the band has also performed alongside Slapshock, Chicosci, This Band and I Belong to the Zoo.
In terms of going places, the band has had guest appearances on It’s Showtime, The Edge segment of Zoe Channel, Radio KISS FM, Euro TV and Rannie Raymundo’s Madhouse Music online radio. The band is also very active on Facebook and has two channels on YouTube.
Watch and listen to Souldrift as they rock SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine with this lockdown rendition of their original song, “Sunday Afternoon.” Just chillax and enjoy the good vibes.
