As part of BusinessMirror’s campaign to promote everyone’s safety and well-being during the global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have invited established and independent artists to perform at least one song in their own homes while urging everyone to stay indoors.
Not counting their 2010 self-titled EP, the electro pop-rock band Gracenote has released a total of three full-length albums, the latest of which, Small World dropped on digital stores and was also released in limited edition CDs only early this year.
Now celebrating their 12th year, Gracenote’s sound has evolved over these three albums although the uncanny pop sensibility that endeared them to fans in the first place has remained intact. Composed of bassist Jazz Jorge, drummer EJ Pichay, guitarist Tatsi Jamnague and charismatic multi-instrumentalist Eunice Jorge on lead vocals, the band has become an even tighter unit that further reinforced their reputation as a solid live attraction that will be much missed now that mass gatherings remain prohibited even under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).
No amount of lockdown, however, will be enough to deter a talented bunch like Gracenote from doing what they love best. And it shows in their SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine sessions as they perform not just one but two tracks from Small World: “City of Vulnerability” and the lead single, “Kalawakan.”
Small World is released under Universal Records and is available for download and streaming on Spotify where Gracenote has over 294,000 monthly listeners, and other digital stores.
