THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) distributed more than 3,600 packs of school supplies and hygiene kits to public elementary schoolchildren as part of its “Project Shoebox.”
The “shoeboxes” also contain a special token and a personal message from the donor.
Primary recipients are the schools affected by the Mayon Volcano eruption in Camalig, Guinobatan and Daraga in Albay province.
Select public schools in Benguet, Mindoro, Rizal and Laguna provinces also received the school packs.
Project Shoebox is an annual outreach activity spearheaded by the BSP Employees Association Inc., and is now on its fourth year.
