CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga—In line with the celebration of Aldo ning Capampangan 2017, the Provincial Government of Pampanga is organizing a “show and shine” car show to be held at Pradera Verde, Lubao, Pampanga.
Dubbed “Pampanga Motor Show,” the event aims to invite tourists and visitors to experience the beauty of the province through cars and motorcycles.
Noel Castro, event coordinator, said the motor show scheduled on December 9 will be different from the usual car shows held in the Philippines.
“This will be an outdoor event, unlike those in Manila and other parts of the country, where they are held indoors. This was patterned after the show and shine car show of the United States and Canada,’’ he said. “This is open to all car enthusiasts and car club members who will come and set up their own tent and maybe have their picnic and fellowship there.”
He said organizers are expecting 125 car-participants in the event, which is open to a wide range of cars and motors from big bikes to vintage cars, as well as military jeeps, sports cars and Japanese cars.
Castro said Gov. Lilia Pineda wants to entice car enthusiasts by way of a car show, a festival of the best food offered in Pampanga, and a night concert.
“This will be a free-for-all event. Everybody can come and we hope that they will enjoy the show,” he added.
The whole-day event will kick off with a motorcade that will start at the Laus Group Event Center in the City of San Fernando featuring the showcased military jeeps and Volkswagen vintage cars, and the Mutya ning Capampangan 2017 candidates.
There will be five categories to be featured in the show namely: Old Japanese Toy Car, Sports Car, Vintage Car, Classic Car and Military Jeeps.
