CLARK FREEPORT—The Medical City Clark (TMCC), one of the leading hospitals in Central Luzon, is investing at least P280 million for its cancer-care facility.
Disclosing this in a recent interview, TMCC President and CEO Dr. Cenon Alfonso said they will begin to establish the cancer center early next year, adding it will be completed in the last quarter of 2018.
Alfonso said the equipment and machines will come from Switzerland. He added there is already an existing building for the cancer-care center.
“We will also need the budget for the experts and best in cancer care,” he said.
Alfonso said they are introducing multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment.
“There will be a team of doctors for one patient. There is one plan for the same patient,” Alfonso said.
The patient will save money because there is a “collective fee” for the group of doctors, he said.
“Easily the patient can save 30 percent. In some cases 50 percent,” he added.
