BANGKO Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando M. Tetangco Jr. (third from left) was named Management Man of the Year 2015 by the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), citing his “expert and steady guidance of the Philippine monetary and banking system as a strong foundation for the current dynamism of the Philippine economy…exemplary leadership in embarking on banking reforms…[pursuit of] finance education for the youth and for providing a world-class regulatory framework for microenterprise development.”
The award is given to “individuals in the business community or government for attaining unquestioned distinction in the practice of management and for contributing to the country’s progress.” It has been bestowed only 39 times since it was first conferred 48 years ago.
Tetangco received the award from MAP President Francisco del Rosario Jr. (second from left), MAP Judging Committee Chairman Edgar Chua of Shell Philippines (right) and MAP Search Committee Chairman Greg Navarro of Deloitte Philippines (left).
