The Department of Labor and Employment recently discussed its strategic priorities for 2024 during a courtesy meeting with the Joint Foreign Chambers of the Philippines at the agency’s Central Office in Intramuros, Manila. Labor Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma (right photo, second from right) tackled key policies and updates on improving the ease of employment of foreign nationals in the country, Department Order 242 on the “Service Charge Law,” the working visa processing of foreigners, developments on the wage hike legislation, and possible areas of cooperation.
