ALL Filipino women who still do not have passports or need to renew their passports can take advantage of the special day that the Department of Foreign Affairs is offering.
In celebration of National Women’s Day, the DFA announced that they will open all its 27 Consular Offices nationwide on Saturday, March 16, to all Filipino women, especially working women and mothers,
Male senior citizens, persons with disabilities, solo parents and overseas Filipino workers will be also accommodated in the Courtesy Lane of the Consular Office on March 16.
The DFA does not normally accept passport applications on weekends.
Those who wish to apply this Saturday are not required to book for an appointment online. However, they will be required to fill out, download and print the passport form https://dfa-oca.ph/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Courtesy-Lane-Passport-Application-Form-Fillable.pdf
Women of any age will be accommodated.
They can also bring with them one immediate family member — spouse, adult children or adult sibling. They just need to bring proof of relationship.
They can also be joined by one traveling companion but they need to bring proof such as flight booking or hotel booking that they will be traveling together.
If an applicant on March 16 fails to provide complete requirements, he/she will be given until March 29, 2024 to comply and return to their original site of application. For the list of requirements, applicant may click the link here: https://dfa-oca.ph/passport/passport-requirements/.
The mode of payment that will be accepted on that special women’s passport day is cash only. The passport fee is P1,200 for expedited processing, plus P150 in case the applicant opts a courier to deliver the passport to his/her residence.
“The Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) reminds all applicants that the courtesy lane privileges for women does not constitute or guarantee approval of the passport application. All applicants will be processed in accordance with the existing laws, rules, and regulations of passport processing,” the DFA said.
Consular Offices in Paniqui, Tarlac and in Clarin, Misamis Occidental will also be offering their passport services on March 23, 2024, also a Saturday.
Other consular offices such as Kidapawan and Butuan cities have already started the special passport Saturday services for women last March 9.
