Cloud computing services provider Cloud4c Philippines said it will expand its operations in the country, especially looking out for those firms that came out of the pandemic such as the financial services.
“So I think part of the thing that we’re doing here is really looking at the lessons of the pandemic. And I classify those customers that we’re coming out of pandemic, and I think that’s where we’re trying to base our expansion in the Philippines,” Edler Panlilio, Cloud4c Philippines president and CEO said.
Panilio said it is the goal of the company to grow its local infrastructure to help these companies in its operations.
“So if we’re able to grow our infrastructure, which is our goal, then, of course, that will help the economy, because it will definitely create a lot of jobs. So it’s not only about job creation, it’s all about maybe elevating the talent from the Filipino (IT professionals) and making them a global one,” he said.
Unistar Credit and Finance Corp., a local financial solutions company, has recently partnered Cloud4C, as it is undergoing digital transformation in preparation for the expansion of products and services.
As part of its goal of financial inclusion, the credit and loan company is set to introduce digital products to reach a broader market than it currently has, the company said.
“Unistar is looking at capturing the underserved market in terms of credit and loan services,” JC Principe, Unistar’s chief information officer, said.
“We want to create platforms that clients and potential partners can easily access. We believe that Cloud4C is the perfect partner for us to achieve the mission-critical transformation that will enable us to strengthen our current position in the market,” Principe said.
Cloud4C has also helped Manila Water Co. Inc., the East Zone concessionaire, protect itself against potential outages and performance lags from an expected rise in incoming traffic.
The cloud services company proposed the assessment of the water concessionaire’s current IT infrastructure and IT security, before deploying a Geographical Disaster Recovery on Microsoft Azure (Singapore) for business-critical applications and data.
This also paved a way for further and future digitalization of Manila Water’s entire IT infrastructure, the company said.
“I think what has happened in the last two years has possibly accelerated and made us realize that we can live in this hybrid world — or what I call the two-speed world of the physical and the digital, and someday in the future for every organization and every individual, paths will merge,” Debdeep Sengupta, Cloud4C global president and chief revenue officer said.
