EIGHT Philippine teams will vie for the last ticket to the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Hong Kong Masters during the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 Quest 2.0 set November 20 at the Ayala Malls Solenad in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
“With the Hong Kong Masters being the last stop for the World Tour Final in Abu Dhabi, we are opening the field on who will be the Filipino team that will compete in the tournament,” said Chooks-to-Go President Ronald Mascariñas.
“With the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 Quest 2.0, not only are we hoping to see the cream among the eight teams competing rise but also discover who we can add to our pool for 2023,” he added.
Headlining the field are Cebu Chooks! and Manila Chooks!.
Cebu will be composed of Mac Tallo, Brandon Ramirez, Mike Nzeusseu and Marcus Hammonds while Dennis Santos, Dave Ando, Henry Iloka and new boy Leon Lorenzana will represent Manila.
Also competing are Butuan Chooks!, GenSan, Botolan Hayati, Makati MNL Kingpin, Quezon City and Talisay EGS.
Botolan will be led by Gerald Anderson.
The deadline for submission of rosters is set on Saturday.
Cebu is currently in Riyadh for the penultimate stop of the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Masters.
Cebu will face Ub on Saturday at 1 a.m., followed by Doha at 3:05 a.m.. Only the top two teams in Pool A will advance.
