The Department of Health (DOH) logged 4,634 Covid-19 cases from June 20 to June 26, an average of 662 cases per day.
This figure, the DOH said, is also 53 percent higher compared to June 13 to June 19 weekly case bulettin.
There were 51 deaths recorded but none of these deaths occurred from June 13 to June 19.
Of the 51 deaths, 2 occurred in February 2022, 4 in January 2022, 3 in November 2021, 1 in October 2021, 8 in September 2021, 8 in August 2021, 3 in July 2021, 5 in June 2021, 3 in May 2021, 8 in April 2021, 5 in March 2021, and 1 in February 2021.
Severe and critical
On June 26, there were 591 patients who were severe and critical due to Covid.
Meanwhile, of the 2,628 ICU beds for Covid patients, 391 or 14.9 percent were occupied.
“Pinapaalalalahan ang lahat na huwag maging kampante sa banta ng Covid-19 [We are reminding everyone not to be complacent amid the threat of Covid-19],” the DOH said.
