TRADITIONAL schools often organize annual “open house” events for parents looking for the right environment for their children’s education. These activities also allow educators to highlight their accomplishments and plans to discerning parents.
Following this practice, online learning platform EdVenture recently staged its first virtual Open House to give parents access to high-quality yet affordable education for their children.
EdVenture offered a 50-percent discount on its package subscriptions, including one-on-one, one-hour tutoring sessions for students in Kinder to Grade 10 in their subjects of choice from the following: reading, math, science, English, Filipino, and Araling Panlipunan (social studies).
The packages also provide access to free and exclusive learning materials and a student journal for progress monitoring. Parents can choose between eight and 16 sessions for P999 and P1,799 a month, respectively.
In addition, the company has a “Book All You Can” Easter Special for single sessions. Participants may schedule their sessions until May 21.
“We understand the challenges that many parents face; some students need individualized attention to help them learn better and build their confidence,” said 917Ventures’ Entrepreneur in Residence Francis Simisim “Through EdVenture, parents are assured that their children are properly assisted and guided by competent teachers.”
EdVenture’s Open House was held in partnership with Mommy Mundo, the leading and most active multiplatform parent resource and community in the country; model, TV host, and blogger Kelly Misa; and Teacher Sky of Sky Dance Academy.
The activity was attended by parents and key opinion leaders who wanted to learn more about EdVenture’s services and experience teaching demos from tutors of different grade levels. The 20-minute demo classes were handled by EdVenture’s top teachers via Zoom breakout sessions, divided into different grade levels and subjects.
Interested parents may still watch the Open House event via EdVenture and Mommy Mundo’s Facebook pages.
EdVenture was launched in May 2021 as the newest educational-technology start-up of 917Ventures—the country’s largest venture builder under the digital-solutions platform of Globe Telecom. Since then it has been serving students across different grade levels across the Philippines.
The platform integrates technology into the teaching-learning process of students to achieve 21st-century quality education, and equips parents with elements they need to catalyze educational transformation. At the same time, it provides additional income to hundreds of Filipino teachers to help increase their quality of life.
