As the daughter and right-hand woman of the late Alfredo Lim when he served as Manila Mayor for over 12 years, Christy Lim is aware that she has very big shoes to fill.
Now running for the top post of the nation’s capital, Christy intends to do just that and promises to continue her father’s legacy with programs designed to benefit every Manileño.
Born and raised in Tondo, Christy was inculcated with the disciplinary ways of her father while also imbibed with the caring and affectionate nature of her mother. Her unique upbringing allowed her to understand the value of genuine service and love for others.
As a successful businesswoman and loving mother, Christy intends to harness the use of technology and forge partnerships that will hasten the delivery of service to Manileños. Her Lingap Ng Inang Mañileno advocacy has already helped over 6,000 residents from District 1 to 6 of Manila.
“Lingap ng Inang Manileño has helped has helped a multitude of women. Not only has it uplifted their lives through the opportunities provided by the foundation, they have also helped other people” Christy noted.
As mayor, her main goal is to restore order and provide peace-of-mind to her fellow Manileños.
Determined to serve Manila to the best of her ability, Christy has laid down her Ten- point Agenda which includes Clean Government, Health, Response, Investment, Tourism, Safety, Youth, Livelihood, Infrastructure and the Manileños. These programs are the foundation of her mantra’s “genuine concern and service for the City of Manila”.
She is running under the banner of Partido Reporma, together with Lucy Lapini for Vice Mayor and Ian Halili for Councilor.
“I will follow the footsteps of my father. My plan is to make Manila prosperous and I am committed to carry out my responsibilities and be a beacon of hope for the Manileños if given the opportunity to serve,” she concludes.
