POLICE anti-illegal drugs operatives seized P2.2 million worth of shabu and arrested a high-value drug suspect during an operation in Imus City, Cavite on Saturday.
The suspect was identified as Johaira Hadjizaman, who was caught during the operation of the provincial drug enforcement unit of Cavite Police and Imus City Police at Barangay Medicion 2-F, Imus City.
The operatives seized from the suspect a sachet and three knot-tied transparent plastic packs containing suspected shabu weighing 350 grams with an estimated street value of P2.2 million.
In Mandaue City, Cebu, policemen also arrested a drug suspect during a buy-bust operation wherein at least P1.36 million worth of shabu was confiscated.
Ramis Jabon alias “Bengbeng,” 48, was caught by policemen during the operation at Barangay Umapad wherein 15 transparent plastic sachets containing shabu was seized from him.
“The police are currently looking into the transaction link of the suspect. This calls for further probe. Let me thank the police operatives for doing their job well,” said PNP chief General Dionardo Carlos.
In Bohol, two suspects were also arrested by a combined team of policemen and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives which confiscated P544, 000 worth of shabu.
The suspects were identified as Joel Laag Baliong, 48, and Marie Dave Tapuroc Quilla, 46.
The two were nabbed at Purok 4, Barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Recovered from them were 16 sachets of shabu weighing more or less 80 grams.
