The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday said that all areas in the country are now considered “low risk” status.
“Alert level 2 areas continue to increase their vaccination rates to de-escalate to lower alert levels,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said.
Likewise, she added that as Metro Manila and 39 other areas have eased restrictions, “high vaccination rates and continued adherence to safety protocols have kept our general population protect.”
Meanwhile, to clear the confusion, Vergeire said that the ‘Alert Level 0″ is just a term they use “internally.”
Vergeire explained that Alert Level 0 “is like the stage” wherein Covid-19 cases will be more manageable including the healthcare system and increased vaccination.
“This is a transitional stage where we can go to the next level or new regime of [this] alert level system,” Vergeire said, adding that “Alert Level 0” is “not a final term yet.”
