The Department of Health (DOH) logged a total of 1,409 additional Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 2,806,694.
There were also 2,941 recoveries and 46 deaths.
“The lower deaths reported today is due to technical issues encountered with COVIDKaya,” DOH said.
Of the total number of cases, 1.1 percent (30,544) are active, 97.3 percent (2,731,583) have recovered, and 1.59 percent (44,567) have died.
Nine duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, eight are recoveries.
Moreover, 46 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation.
