President Rodrigo R. Duterte castigated social medial giant Facebook on Monday for allegedly hindering “objectives and advocacies” of the government.
He made the remark after Facebook he said had implemented a “sweeping move” against the websites of the health and military government agencies.
Last week, Facebook took down allegedly 200 fake accounts including those supposedly belonging to military personnel.
“We allow you to operate here hoping that you could help us also. Now, if government cannot espouse or advocate something which is for the good of the people, then what is your purpose here in my country,” Duterte said in a public address of Monday evening.
He said he will “talk” with Facebook to address the matter.
“You cannot lay down a policy for my government. I allow you to operate here. You cannot bar or prevent me from espousing the objectives of government,” Duterte said.
“Is there life after Facebook? I don’t know, but we will talk” he added.

One of the reasons why we hated Facebook verification team in the Philippines called #VERA because of their biased conclusion, and we as Filipino citizen asking of fairness and equal justification process reconsidering the evidences posted in oweners timeline.
We think that there’son something behind agenda on this matter of deletion.
Filipinos asking why? and we can’t deny that there is hidden.
Now if these matter will continue then Facebook Philippines you’re questioned by the citizen of the state and most probably we call it forever closer and didn’t operate again if you are cited biases.
