Charges of falsification of public documents were filed against Leonardo Puno, 39, a liaison officer of Barangay West Crame in San Juan City after he was arrested for issuing fake travel passes.
San Juan Police chief Col. Jaime Santos presented Puno before Mayor Francis Zamora on Monday after he was arrested in July 30.
Santos said that they are also studying other possible charges that they may file against the suspect before the prosecutors office.
On July 30, the San Juan PNP responded to a call they received from an individual informing them about the alleged selling of fake PNP travel passes to people in the area of Road 2, Barangay West Crame, San Juan City.
When the police arrived in the area, they found a barangay employee that matched the description of the suspect given by the anonymous caller.
Recovered in the possession of the suspect were fake travel authority documents.
