As part of BusinessMirror’s campaign to promote everyone’s safety and well-being during the global health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have invited established and independent artists to perform at least one song in their own homes while urging everyone to stay indoors.
Since becoming a household name as a result of his sensational stint at the popular singing competition, Tawag ng Tanghalan where he became a three-time defending champion, Myko Mañago has maintained his career’s upward trajectory.
Citing the likes of South Border, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Sam Smith, and Michael Buble as major influences, Myko has been singing since he was a child. Like most singers, Myko has also created his own YouTube where he posts his performances and renditions of pop and R&B favorites.
Myko’s online performances eventually caught the eye of the San Francisco-based label, RJA Productions LLC and last year, Myko released his much-awaited debut single, the uptempo R&B number, “Stuck.”
Myko followed it up with the tender, heartbreaking ballad, “Mahal Kita (Kahit Mahal Mo Siya)” which he is also performing for this session of SoundStrip Live & in Quarantine.
Released only two months ago, “Mahal Kita (Kahit Mahal Mo Siya)” has already generated nearly 50,000 views on YouTube for its official lyric video. Myko is definitely a rising star to watch out for.
