Customers of Manila Water Co. Inc., the private water contractor and agent of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for the East Zone, has launched its bill inquiry program through SMS or short messaging system.
The launch of the program is in response to customers’ requests for easier and faster ways to find out their current water bills amid the extended enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and general quarantine in some areas in Luzon.
Manila Water has launched its bill inquiry program using the SMS platform or text messaging to provide billing information to customers.
Using their mobile phones, customers simply need to send the following details to 225600: MW<space>BILL<space>CAN<space>last 8 digits of contract account number.
The sender will then receive information on outstanding balance and a link to a list of channels and facilities through which customers can settle payment without leaving the comfort of their homes. Customers may also receive a reply informing them of overpayment or of no outstanding balance, when applicable.
Manila Water has earlier announced the extension of payment due date for 30 days in consideration of the economic impact of the ECQ to its customers. While the ECQ also necessitated the suspension of actual meter reading, water bills are currently derived from the average actual consumption for the past three months prior to the implementation of the ECQ. Currently, Manila Water said it is also exploring other digital platforms for easier account information access for its customers.

Bakit po yong saamin ..nakabayad naman po lami ng Oct… pero ung sept hndi pa namin nabayaran kc sobrang laki.. kaya inuna po namin ang sept.. pero nung nagreading nung Nov. Bat hndi po binawasan ung total bill bagkos ung binayad ko nung Sept. Ay idinagdag pa po ninyo sa total bill.. kaya po palaki ng palaki ung total bill… imbes na babawasan nyo po… padagdag po kau … paki ayos naman po ng bill ..
May tanong po ako ..ung sa Sept. Po ba ay tumaas po ung tubig… kc po ung bill namin umabot po ng 6k mahigit … sa mantalang nagbibill lang po kami ng 2k pababa every month … bat po dumoble ung bill ng September po???
