SUPER APP Grab has beefed up its transport offerings with the introduction of two new services, GrabFamily and GrabPet, and the upgrading of an existing one, GrabCar Premium.
GrabFamily is a transport service equipped with a dedicated child safety seat and amenities such as an emesis bag, baby wipes, rubbing alcohol and tissue paper. Initially available in Metro Manila, GrabFamily can seat five adults and one child comfortably.
Each child safety seat is suited for a child aged from one year to 12 years old, a working weight of 15 kilograms to 36 kilograms, and with a height of 4’9” below.
The new service is Grab’s compliance with Republic Act 11229 also known as Child Safety in Motor Vehicle Act, which requires public transport vehicles to implement safety measures for children.
GrabPet, on the other hand, is a dedicated pet transport service that allows pet owners to travel with their dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, rabbits and fish in Metro Manila. GrabPet cars have special equipment to ensure the best and most comfortable transport service to both the pet and its parent, such as: pet kennel, waterproof cargo liner and pet barrier.
“We are mindful of the ever-changing and sophisticated needs of our consumers, and we at Grab always strive to hear our customers out and outserve them by bringing new services that support their daily needs,” Grab President Brian P. Cu said. “We will continue to develop and tailor-fit innovative services for our consumers’ daily needs.”
Grab also upgraded its GrabCar Premium service through better cars, better drivers and better travel experience.
With the new GrabCar Premium service, passengers will be able to experience a chauffeured service on cars, such as Toyota Fortuner, Ford Everest, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Hyundai Tucson, or Mazda CX-5.
Drivers are also required to undergo Premium Service Certification Training and A1’s Advanced Defensive Driving Training to ensure that each driver delivers a brand of service to make every journey special and effortless.
Each GrabCar Premium vehicle comfortably seats up to four passengers with spacious leg room, clean and comfortable leather seats, fresh car scents and a box of facial wipes, allowing passengers to relax while in transit, and be at their best upon reaching their destination.
The new GrabCar Premium also showcases a new Premium Kit, which includes an umbrella, a car charger, bottled water and mint candies.
“While we continue to chart our path toward our super app success, we believe that it is very important for us to continuously challenge ourselves and commit to superior service excellence in our first foray—transportation, and we aim to do just that with the relaunch of GrabCar Premium—Grab’s flagship ride-hailing line,” Cu said.
