SEVEN national athletes flew to Singapore on Friday morning to represent the Philippines in the 10-day STEP Asian Youth Sports Leaders Camp.
The event is organized by the Singapore Olympic Foundation, Sports Singapore and Temasek Foundation International.
The activity aims to engage 120 young athletes from all over Asia for leadership training and values inculcation to build closer ties among Asian youth leaders.
The Filipino athletes are Eumir Felix Marcial of boxing, Islay Erika Bomogao of muay, Abigail Sinogbuhan of sepak takraw, Jack Danielle Animan of basketball, Jamaila Ramos of pencak silat and Horner de Vera of tournament bridge.
Katrina Gargoles of the Philippine Olympic Committee secretariat is the delegation head. All expenses for their participation are covered by the Singapore organizers.
