Winford Manila Resort and Casino (WMRC), in partnership with the Philippine Amusement & Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), hosted on Wednesday the second Paskong Pasasalamat mula sa PAGCOR at WINFORD MANILA, an annual Christmas gift-giving and meal-sharing activity for the less fortunate citizens of neighboring barangays.
The beneficiaries of the WMRC-PAGCOR community outreach initiative were identified and selected by their respective barangay captains, with whom both proponents have maintained a close and healthy relationship since the luxury casino hotel opened its doors to the public in 2017.
Present during the activity were WMRC President & Chief Operating Officer Jeff Evora and PAGCOR Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Andrea Domingo. In 2017, it was Chairman Domingo who reached out to WMRC requesting a community outreach program to give back to the local community who have been supportive of the casino hotel’s operations.
“Paskong Pasasalamat mula sa PAGCOR at WINFORD MANILA is our way of reciprocating to the local community that has supported us from day one,” said Evora. “Aside from maintaining and strengthening our relationship with them, Paskong Pasasalamat also serves as an avenue for us to increase employee engagement and satisfaction through volunteerism and CSR activity participation.”
In attendance were approximately 500 less fortunate members of the community to receive their gifts and enjoy a yuletide meal courtesy of WMRC and PAGCOR, in the hope that it helps spreads happiness and brightens the holiday season for them.
