THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) advised the public on Friday afternoon that certain roads, especially in central and northern Luzon, remain closed to traffic owing to the damage and flooding caused by the southwest monsoon (habagat).
All road sections in the National Capital Region are passable, though, the DPWH said.
Thirteen (13) road sections are affected by continuous rain brought about by Habagat. Eleven (11) road sections are closed to all types of vehicles; six (6) in Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) one (1) in Region I and four (4) in Region III, due to roadslip, soil collapse, oversaturation of soil, debris flow, rockslide, landslides, scoured embankment and flooding
Two (2) road sections are not passable to heavy vehicles; one (1) in Region I and one (1) in CAR.
