Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 20) — Wushu artist Agatha Wong gave the Philippines its third bronze medal in the Asian Games after placing third in the women’s taijiquan and taijijian all-around final.
Wong had a total score of 19.36 points.
The 20-year-old Wong scored 9.68 in the taijiquan on Sunday and another 9.68 in the taijijian event today.
Local favorite Lindswell won the gold for Indonesia with a score of 19.50 points, while Hong Kong’s Uen Ying Mok was a close second with a score of 19.42.
Wong is still recovering from a slipped disc she suffered earlier this year.
In last year’s Southeast Asian Games, Wong bagged a gold in the women’s taijiquan event while she settled for a silver medal in the taijijian event.
