THANKS to Koreans, sheet masks have changed our beauty routines forever. These sheet masks, which are chockfull of ingredients that are beneficial to the skin, are something that many women (and even men) use at least once a week.
There are different kinds of sheet masks to address various skin concerns. There are clarifying, moisturizing, toning, softening, brightening and many other masks in the market. There are also nose strips, under-eye patches and masks for specific areas of the face.
Edil Chua’s business background is animal pharmaceuticals. But his mother came home from Korea and brought home a suitcase full of masks, so he became curious from a business point of view.
“I asked my wife Marian and found out that she loves Korean sheet masks, too,” Edil said.
So he started doing research on face masks and came across Luke Skin, which has sheet masks, nose strips and hydrogel eye patches.
“I don’t like facials because they involve extraction, but I love Luke nose strips,” Edil added. Marian, meanwhile, loves to relax at the end of a busy day with a soothing eye patch under her eyes.
Luke Skin is affordable and probably has the cutest packaging for sheet masks, which are priced at around P60, give or take a few centavos. The nice thing about Luke Skin sheet masks is that they are not excessively wet.
You can still get some of the essence to use on your neck and hands but the masks aren’t dripping. The sheet masks variants and their functions are:
