FR. Aloysius Deeney, OCD, the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS) General Delegate for East Asia, discusses before around 250 members of the OCDS in Luzon the topic, “The Role and Purpose of Law in the Life of the OCDS”.
It was held recently at the Father Mark Horan Hall of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Quezon City.
Deeney said the call to man’s holiness is prescribed through baptism, while the call of the OCDS is to serve God, the Order and the world, or the community and family.
The law of the religious order makes one become a better disciple, he added.
