THE Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu is holding the first Marketing Expo on Friday at the Pope Francis Servant Leadership Hall, Eduardo J. Aboitiz Senior High School Building in Canduman, Mandaue City.
The event is organized by the Grade 11 students of the Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand taking up Principles of Marketing and Research in Daily Life 1.
The first Marketing Expo is a student-led event anchored on the theme “The purpose of any business is to love people, to serve people and to bless people”. The expo aims to integrate framework for 21st-century learning to produce effective citizens in a domestic and global economy that are a lifelong learner, holistically developed, globally oriented and locally grounded.
The 28 businesses owned and managed by ABM students have had their five-day, income-generating project to finance the school’s expo. They are also inviting ABM senior high-school students of Canduman National High School.
The event also highlights the launching of Prime Magazine, the official senior high-school publication of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu. Proceeds out of the sponsorship of the event will go to the Social Involvement Office of the school to support its student-formation program.
“This is our simple way of peripherals of the society. That, indeed, business is not only created for profit but, at the same time, to love, serve and bless people,” said Madame Annie F. Abucay, the assistant principal of senior high school. Abucay said the students make the school proud as they set the bar in organizing the first Marketing Expo.
“Let this be a keystone for your success in future learning, work and life. Let this further engage and inspire you to connect learning with real-life problems and issues. Through this event, may you be inspired to gain skills, learn, relearn, and be more responsible citizens, contributors and innovators,” Abucay said.
“Create ripples of change. Be the beacons of hope. Be the light. Always Magis. Always Lux Oriens. Always AMDG,” she added.
