I WAS not a Posh Spice fan during the Spice Girls’s heyday; I was more into Scary and Sporty. But I love how Victoria has transitioned into one of the best dressed and most elegant women in the world. Her style is always polished and subdued. Best of all, she is a wife and a mom to four adorable children (I love how she can carry her little girl Harper even while wearing 4-inch heels). In our household, we have a slight obsession with the Beckham boys: Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.
When Victoria Beckham does beauty, everybody stands up and runs to the store. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go to the retail launch of her limited-edition beauty collaboration with Estee Lauder on October 8 at SM Aura Premier due to geographic reasons. But I can always live vicariously, right?
The collection represents four cities very close to Victoria’s heart—London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles. Most of the items, as expected, sold-out within the day. The 14-piece collection includes a bronzer, two lipsticks, eye shadows and a palette. I wanted to get Morning Aura Illuminating Crème, which reminds me of my favorite MAC Cosmetics’ Strobe Cream.
The illuminating crème is “the starting point to each of the city looks. Part moisturizer, part primer, it contains micropearls to instantly brighten for a fresh morning glow. Morning Aura Illuminating Crème can be worn alone or under makeup as a luminous primer and is ideal for use during the day to refresh and brighten.”
Estée Lauder sponsored Victoria Beckham’s Spring Summer 2017 fashion show where the models wore beauty looks using the new Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder makeup collection. The show took place at Cipriani in The Cunard Building, 25 Broadway, New York.
“I am so excited to be using my Estée Lauder makeup in my show this season. The starting point for my new makeup collection was beautiful skin—and I’ve stayed true to that with the beauty look for the SS17 show. The makeup really reflects the assured free spirit of the Ready to Wear this season, so the use of color is quite carefree and applied in bold strokes across the eyes. Overall, the look doesn’t feel too perfect or considered,” Victoria said in a press release.
Here is how to get the look:
