The Philippines has seen strong success in franchising, with an average of 100 outlets for every franchise brand. This is in sharp contrast to Thailand, with only 32 outlets per franchise brand, and Indonesia at 80. Franchising has helped brands grow dramatically, with Jollibee achieving over 900 branches globally and the Generics Pharmacy reaching over 1,850 branches.
The secret to success is in preparing the business and organization to franchise. Franchise success does not come overnight, but is a step by step process. “Franchising requires thorough study, needing, at the very least, a franchise business plan, franchise agreement and a franchise operations manual,” said Lito Samson, AVP for Consulting at Francorp Philippines Inc.
But getting it right, means large long-term returns. “We’ve worked with numerous clients who started small, but are now large and global corporations,” says Bing Limjoco, CEO of Francorp. With clients such as Bench, Jollibee, The Generics Pharmacy, Goldilocks, Sans Rival and many more, Francorp has been able to share the success secrets of real-world franchise success stories to thousands of
entrepreneurs.
With the Philippines continuing to be the franchise capital of Asia, Francorp continues to support entrepreneurs around the country through various franchise seminars. Having received a strong reception in its recent seminars in Davao, Manila, Taguig, Cagayan de Oro and Baguio, Francorp plans to continue to go to other cities to help entrepreneurs wanting to franchise their business.
Francorp will conduct half-day “How to Franchise Your Business” seminars on April 13 (Ortigas Center) and May 18 (Alabang). The seminar includes talks from top franchise professionals and certified franchise executives on how to know if your business is franchisable, the steps to franchise your business and one-on-one consultations with franchise consultants.
