Deadline for entries to the Bright Leaf Agriculture Journalism Awards

THE Bright Leaf Agriculture Journalism Awards is now open.

This marks the awards’ 10th year of honoring the work of reporters, photographers and broadcasters who write and speak about agriculture issues.

Many journalists—both writers and photographers—have won in the past nine years of the Bright Leaf competition since it began in 2007.

A consistent winner was Mau Victa, BusinessMirror’s Baguio City-based photographer who won the Asean Award, equivalent to the Hall of Fame, recognizing Victa’s top wins for five years.

Stories published or aired or photographs published between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2016 are all qualified.

The deadline for submission is on September 1, 2016.

There’s no entry fee required to join the competition so submit as many stories as you want.

Winners will be receiving cash prizes, premiums items like iPads, and an all-expense-paid trip to an Asian country.
