THE country’s first-of-its-kind applications (apps) arcade tournament continues to serve as an exciting and competitive platform for Apple users and gaming enthusiasts on its fourth staging since 2011.
Dubbed as “Arcadium for 2” this year, the tournament allows gamers to form a tag team and pit themselves against other pairs. The contest showcases the multiplayer capabilities of iPad Air, iPod touch, Apple TV, iMac and MacBook Pro.
“More than just a tournament, Arcadium has become a gathering of Apple users who also share an interest for digital gaming,” Power Mac Center Inc. (PMCI) Marketing Manager Jose Maria Leandro M. Alvarez said. The tournament embarks on a simulated and challenging bowling adventure with ‘Bowling Central,’ elite combat with the spy thriller “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” gain the most points to take the spotlight in “King of Opera” and experience miniatures board game with “Golem Arcana.”
Each featured game will require a pair of gamers, whose individual scores will be added together to determine their score as a pair. The four highest-scoring pairs per game during the elimination rounds will advance to the finals event and compete for prizes that include Apple products as well as accessories from PMCI partner brands.
Anybody who knows how to play any or all of the four featured games in Arcadium for 2, and can form a pair with another gamer can participate in the tournament, Alvarez said.
Gamers are provided with Apple devices during the store-based tournament games.
