Based on data released by the Neda, the amount covers nine projects consisting of six new PPPs and three locally funded ones.
The six new PPP projects, which amount to at least P158.49 billion, include the Light Rail Transit Line 2 Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Project, which has the lowest O&M cost, and the P14.62-million Laguindingan Airport Development and O&M Project.
The other PPPs include the P2.34-billion New Bohol Airport Development and Operations/Maintenance Project; P122.81-billion Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike Project; and the P18.72-billion New Centennial Water Source-Kaliwa Dam Project.
The locally funded projects include the P4.11-billion Busuanga Airport Development Project and the P2-billion Modernization of the Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital.
The third locally funded project pertains to the Laoag City Bypass Link Road Project that has two alternative project costs. The alternative costs are P1.17 billion and P1.19 billion.
The Neda Board is the highest policy-making body of the government and is chaired by the President. The vice chairman of the Neda Board is the socioeconomic planning secretary and Neda director general.
Neda Board members include the Executive Secretary and the secretaries of the departments of Finance, Trade and Industry, Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources, Public Works and Highways, Budget and Management, Labor and Employment, and the Interior and Local Government.
The Neda Board approves major government policies, projects, programs on infrastructure, transport, social development, health, education, and other public undertakings.
These policies, projects, and programs are drafted by seven interagency committees, such as the Development Budget Coordination Committee, the Infrastructure Committee, the Investment Coordination Committee and the Social Development Committee.
Other interagency committees include the Committee on Tariff and Related Matters, Regional Development Committee and the National Land Use Committee.
