CLARK FREEPORT—An integrated brand for Clark was launched on Monday by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Clark Development Corp. (CDC).
“Everyone wants to move to the big city. Good money, good jobs, a place to be productive. But the paradox is that cities don’t work for people, even though they’re full of them. It’s a pressure cooker of congestion, pollution and rent you can’t afford,” BCDA President and CEO Vivencio B. Dizon said.
“Clark is different. Because it was built from scratch, crafted, to be built for people. To have the vibrancy of a city without the pressure of city life. And the energy of a culture that is happy and inclusive. It’s amazing what you can do when you’re in the right place,” he added.
“Clark is a city that works. It’s a perfect mix of business, lifestyle, leisure and modernity,” Dizon stressed.
It consists of four main districts, namely the Clark Freeport Zone (CFZ), Clark Global City (CGC), New Clark City (NCC) and Clark International Airport (CRK).
Managed by CDC, the CFZ is an existing mixed-use complex established in the 90s that has continued to fuel growth not just in Pampanga but in the whole Central Luzon.
CGC, on the other hand, is a 177-hectare property being developed by the Udenna Corp., which will serve as the primary business district.
The NCC in Tarlac will house satellite government offices and a first-class sports village that will serve as the main venue of the 30th Southeast Asian Games in 2019.
Central to all of this is CRK, which will soon be expanded to accommodate up to 80 million passengers a year. This ensures that travel will be comfortable while trade is seamless.
“Clark is a city unmatched in connectivity with access to world-class highways and the service of high-speed railways,” Dizon said.
