OFFICE space lessor Acceler8 Coworking Manila Inc. has an excellent idea on how to beat the horrendous and anarchic traffic situation hounding the average worker in the metropolis-established satellite offices.
Mikko Barranda, cofounder of Acceler8 told the BusinessMirror on October 19 that companies have realized that they have to ensure the productivity of their workers, and business operations must be maintained and sustained notwitstanding the hellish traffic situation in the metropolis.
“By putting up a satellite office in a certain part of the city, they can continue their operations in a new setup,” Barranda said in an interview during the firm’s second anniversary.
He said their Manila-based client realized the importance of putting up a satellite office, as a lot of their staff had a difficult time going to and from Manila to Makati for meetings.
Carlo Coronel, one of the co-founders, said Acceler8 will continue to find ways to expand its footprint in the coworking space market. Aside from establishing facilities, he said Acceler8 has also ventured into managing coworking spaces of other companies. Acceler8 is managing Ayala Land Inc.’s Clock-In coworking facility located in the former Makati Exchange Building along Ayala Avenue.
Coronel said the company plans to manage more coworking facilities in the future. He said the firm has been dealing with the competition by attracting traditional and nontraditional businesses to work in a new office setup.
“We’ve been hitting the sweet spot by bringing business together to connect them with each other toward their growth,” Coronel added.
The company has formed a partnership with Office Philippines Inc. that will enable locators to expand their businesses outside the country.
We believe that, with that partnership, we can serve our clients better by not only giving them the opportunity to work in our offices in Southeast Asia but also empower our clients to grow and do business regionally, Coronel said.
“We can connect them with the right stakeholders, partners and mentors should they intend to expand their business outside the Philippines.” Barranda said the firm’s customers can use facilities of its partners in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore and Melbourne.
