THERE are two problems faced by users of most ultrathin phones with nonremovable batteries nowadays: one, the device loses power quickly; and, two, the device loses power quickly.
Smartphones with slim profiles, or devices, like the Apple iPhone, which opt for a unibody design, may get a thumbs-up for aesthetics, but they have their drawbacks, most notably that the battery they have been fitted with to keep those willowy dimensions and that seamless construction can’t hold as much power to provide the user as much juice to last his beyond a day.
Well, that’s where Mophie cases come in. Clad with as much as a 3,950-mAh battery crate with impact-isolation system, a pass-through charge and sync feature, a standby switch and an industry-leading battery dynamism, these rechargeable mobile cases are sure to resolve the smartphone user’s power dilemma, especially when a socket (or even a power bank) is nowhere in sight.
Courtesy of Digits Trading Corp., Mophie is now introducing its trademark Juice Pack cases here in the Philippines. Branded as the No. 1 selling battery case manufacturer in North America and an Apple-certified brand, Mophie strives to widen its portfolio by spanning the reach of their products in the global market.
Mophie’s battery cases, designed for iPhone 6/6S, iPhone 6/6S Plus, with the addition of the Samsung Galaxy S7 model, are being sold in all Digital Walker and Beyond The Box stores nationwide. The products’ prices range from P1,950 to P6,950. A pretty hefty price to pay maybe, but Mophie guarantees that consumers will get more than what they pay for because beyond providing battery juice, the cases also protect devices from the wear-and-tear of everyday use.
Currently, Digits Trading is highlighting two of the best-selling products of Mophie—the Juice Pack Reserve and the Juice Pack H2Pro.
The Juice Pack Reserve case comes with a 2,750-mAh battery pack, roughly translating to an additional eight hours of talk time, additional Web browsing of up to six hours, 30 hours of music playback and up to seven hours of video playback.
It also comes with high-impact device protection and is available in variants of black, white, blue, purple and pink. It only weighs about 75.12 gram, which makes it the slimmest and lightest juice pack available for iPhone 6 so far.
The Juice Pack Reserve features rubberized support points inside the case for full protection against high-impact falls. It also highlights a “priority charging” innovation that provides power to the phone first before the juice pack starts to recharge.
Users can also toggle between charging and standby with the flip of a switch. At the back of the case is an LED indicator that displays how much more battery you have left.
Now the Juice Pack H2Pro is an entirely different story. With increased device protection, this 2,750-mAh waterproof battery case was designed for ultrarugged protection against elements that may damage your phone. With water-tight ports, the device should be able to withstand dirt, rain, sand and mud penetration. It also comes with a flexible membrane screen protector that shields the phone display from scratches.
The Juice Pack H2Pro also allows users to sync their phones with a computer while both devices (phone and battery case) charge simultaneously.
It weighs about 114 gram and provides more or less an additional 14 hours of talk time, additional Web browsing of up to 10 hours, 50 hours of music playback and up to 11 hours of video playback.
Mophie’s batteries also take pride in holding its charge far longer than the competition.
Of course, all that goodness comes not without a price, most notably the additional bulk that comes with the package. Thus, while you may have purchased your smartphone because of its anorexic profile, the Mophie case turns it into, well, let’s just say “healthy.” According to Digits Trading representatives, that’s still one area Mophie is continuously improving on.
