Being a service contractor, we strive and exerted all possible efforts to achieve 100 percent compliance with labor standards and, of course, overall quality, excellence and productivity. It was difficult, but it was all worth it,ā Guerrero emphasized.
āAnd with this award, TSI will continue to be driven by our clientsā trust and remain committed to serve and inspire as we move on toward our next 25 years in the business, and beyond,ā he added.
The Productivity Olympics, which started in 2008, is a biennial national competition to help strengthen national awareness, plus staunch commitment to quality and productivity among micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around the country. It is organized by the National Wages and Productivity Commission under the direct supervision of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and in close coordination with the 17 Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards nationwide.
āWe all know that the winners are those which have proven their worth in maintaining balance between business excellence and resource management through improved productivity performance, product diversification, technology upgrade and market expansion,ā Baldoz said, adding:
āThis is the benchmark we have to match out and even surpass. After all, this is what productivity is all about.ā
āBusiness excellence, which is given 50 percent in the rating, and resource management, on the other hand, which is also given another 50 percent are the yardsticks to the 2015 Productivity Olympics.ā
āThe Productivity Olympics is a relevant event that serves the purpose of giving due recognition to MSMEs and their ownersā and employeesā hard work,ā said Baldoz, acknowledging that 99 percent of the countryās businesses are MSMEs and are the backbone of the economy in terms of employment-generation.
Now on its 25th year of commitment to providing world-class manpower solutions across all industries in the Philippines, TSI is proud to be the first and only service contractor in the Philippines to receive multiple awards from the DOLE on Labor Law Compliance.
