BUDGET carrier Cebu Pacific has expanded its Bohol route network with the addition of a daily flight between Clark International Airport and the New Bohol Panglao Airport, a route that will help build more traffic in and out of Central Luzon.
Cebu Pacific Director for Airport Services Dindo Fernando said the new route will help spur domestic tourism between the Visayas, Central Luzon and Northern Luzon, and support the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MIE) tourism subindustry.
“As we expand our fleet and our route network, we look forward to supporting economic growth in Clark and its surrounding areas, as well as in the province of Bohol through tourism and logistics support,” he said.
The low-cost carrier has been operating in Clark since 2006, and has since increased its frequency out of Clark by 75 percent in 2018 alone. It has also been operating in Bohol for almost two decades now.
Aside from the two destinations, the Gokongwei-led airline has a network of 37 destinations, 76 routes, and over 2,130 weekly flights as of end-September.
