SEVEN top Japanese retailers and retail experts will join the elite cast of international speakers that will share their retail-related expertise to some 3,000 attendees of the Asia-Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition 2015 (APRCE 2015) from October 28 to 30 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), which is hosting the event this year, announced that highly respected Japanese executives from Isetan Mitsukoshi, UNY Group, Daiso Industries, Family Mart, Aeon Co., Life Corp., and the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry will be among the APRCE 2015 resource speakers.
“The presence of these distinguished Japanese experts makes the APRCE 2015 a truly compelling event for our international attendees, especially those who want to learn from the retailing industry pillars of Japan, which is one of the most sophisticated and important markets in the world,” PRA Chairman Frederick Go, Manila APRCE 2015 overall chairman and president of Robinsons Land Corp., emphasized.
Hiroshi Ohnishi, president and CEO of Isetan Mitsukoshi Ltd., will open the Day 3 Plenary Session with the topic “For the Customers in Asia, for the Customers in the World.” Isetan Mitsukoshi Ltd. Operates the major department store chain in Japan and East Asia, including Thailand, Singapore and China.
Norio Sako, president of UNY Group Holdings Co. Ltd., which operates Uny, Circle K, Sankus, Sagami and Palemo in Japan, will talk on “UNY, The Unique, United and Universal.”
Hirotake Yano, president and CEO of Daiso Industries Co. Ltd., will speak on the topic “Human Power for Human Life”.
Life Corp.’s President and COO Takaharu Iwasaki, whose company operates one of Japan’s largest supermarket chains, will have an extensive discussion on the topic “Seeking the Best of the Consumer.”
FamilyMart President Isamu Nakayama Oyama, operator of one of Japan’s biggest convenience-store chains will discuss how to “Succeed by Taking Challenges.”
Japan’s retail conglomerate Aeon will be represented by its chairman, Hiroki Yokoo, who will take up “Asia, Towing the Globe.” Japan will also be represented at the Retail Policy Forum on E-commerce: Changing the game of retailing” by the director of the distribution and retail-industry division of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry Eigo Nomura.
