UNBEATEN National University (NU) and Far Eastern University (FEU) clash in a Group A match in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Collegiate Conference today at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.
The battle for the solo Group A lead between the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Tamaraws, both unscathed in two matches, is set at 6:30 p.m.
Undefeated Group B leader Adamson University eyes win No. 3 against Technological Institute of the Philippines (0-2) at 1 p.m., followed by the Ateneo-Lyceum of the Philippines battle of teams with 1-1 records in Group A at 4 p.m.
NU opened the tournament with victories over National Collegiate Athletic Association teams Lyceum and San Sebastian College, while FEU scored rousing triumphs over San Sebastian and Ateneo.
The duel between the two squads, both handled by new coaches Babes Castillo (NU) and George Pascua (FEU), is expected to go down the wire.
“This will be a good match. ‘Skills-wise,’ we need the players to be coachable,” Castillo said.
Back-to-back champion Ateneo, meanwhile, guns for win No. 5 against University of the Philippines (1-2) at 10 a.m. in the men’s division. De La Salle (2-2) faces San Beda (1-2) at 8 a.m.
